Cerumen (Ear Wax) Removal

While ear wax serves to protect our ear canals from outside debris, too much accumulation can results in significant decrease in hearing. Ear wax can be safely removed from the ear by using a simple tool or, in more serious instances, with the aid of suction or flushing devices. Our audiologist will always check your ears and perform this service as needed.

Tinnitus Evaluation and Treatment

Tinnitus is a condition that afflicts millions of people, some with hearing loss and some without. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of information and treatment options for patients. Wolfpack Hearing Clinic offers support. Our audiologist will incorporate tinnitus loudness and pitch matching tests during your evaluation. Treatment options include hearing aids with tinnitus masking options and rehabilitation programs such as tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT).

Occupational Testing

Hearing loss is perhaps the most under-recognized and unreported injury in the workforce. While over 30 million American workers are impacted, work-related hearing loss is easily prevented. If your place of business has a high level of noise, it is your responsibility as an employer to provide hearing evaluations and adequate protection against hearing loss for your employees. Wolfpack Hearing Clinic is proud to serve Fayetteville and surrounding areas with test and hearing conservation for the workplace.

Auditory Rehabilitation

Audiology was born around World War II as a profession focused on rehabilitation. Through the years, we’ve witnessed a transition to a field often focused on strictly technology for treatment. This is not always a good thing. Appropriately programmed hearing aids do a great job of delivering sound to the brain. However, imagine going decades without hearing sound. The brain forgets what to do with it. If you don’t use it, you lose it! The more you hear and practice, the faster your speech processing will improve. Wolfpack aims to eliminate the complaint, “I can hear, but I can’t understand.” If you struggle greatly with speech processing, resulting in decreased benefit with your hearing aids, we can help. Your audiologist will devise a rehabilitation game plan to increase your processing abilities, whether that involves coaching or using software with auditory training. We can track your progress and demonstrate quality results.
